Community Fund Association News

By Ray Williams, President

The Crystal Lakes Community Fund Association appreciates the dedication and commitment of the Wapiti Bugle committee members.  The Bugle has been the mirror to Crystal Lake’s wonder and beauty for many years.  Thanks for all your hard work.

The Crystal Lakes Community Fund Association’s Annual Meeting was Saturday July 9, 2016 at 1pm in the Community Center.  The meeting included discussion on the CLCFA 2016 Projects.  We appreciate project suggestions from our Crystal Lakes’ members.  Everyone enjoyed the membership appreciation luncheon.

Sharon Cooper, Milo David and Helen Norton were re-elected to three year terms. We always welcome Crystal Lakes’ members interested in joining this Board.

CLVFD Rummage Sales May 29, 2016 CANCELLED

Please mark you calendars that the CLVFD Rummage Sale May 29, 2016 has been CANCELLED.

Given the difficulties presented by the remodel of the Fire Station,  CL FIRES and CLVFD members have determined that it's not a good idea to hold the CLVFD Rummage Sale this year.  It will be a very very busy and crazy time for packing up and moving items out of the station to prepare for the remodel.

Trying to arrange for and hold the CLVFD Rummage Sale would add to the confusion and hard work; stretching our resources to the max.  Please know we appreciate everyone in Crystal Lakes who donate, support and help us with this fun time every year.  Save your gently used items for next year.

WE WILL BE BACK NEXT YEAR.  WATCH FOR NOTICES AND UPDATES.

The next Crystal Lakes Community Fund Association Board meeting will be on Saturday March 12, 2016 at 1pm.  We invite anyone interested to attend.  The CLCFA now has its own website, please visit clcfa.org.  Our goal is to provide current meeting and activity dates, project goals and pictures of activities.

The Board has established the following quarterly meeting dates for 2016:  The dates for CLCFA are Saturday, March 12, 2016 1pm in Wapiti Room, Saturday May 14, 2016 1pm in the Community Center, Saturday, July 9, 2016 Membership Appreciation Lunch 12pm, Annual Meeting 1pm and Board Meeting to follow and Saturday,  October 8, 2016 1pm  Wapiti Room.

We are very happy about the activities completed this year.  The CLCFA contributed funds to install cement pads for the two mail sheds in Crystal Lakes.  We started discussions for helping to design and install a family activity area near the Community Center.  We will work on several project steps to complete that goal.  The Community Fund appreciates and tanks all the volunteers for their help and hard work in 2015.

Please see our project spreadsheet on our new website clcfa.org. If there is any project you would like to have considered, please let any CLCFA Board member know. We appreciate all our friends and neighbors.
